Week 7 Update and Week 8 plan

Kia ora Whanau

Please could you send your children to school with food for the worms!  We are turfing out the current lot of scraps and starting with a fresh batch.  We need to turn our farms from 'fruit cakes into sponge cakes'!

While the Year 6's have been practising their singing the Year 5's have been developing their team work.

We had great fun playing mini-polo on Friday

5 cricket teams from the senior syndicate have been competing in the CJCA competition over the last 6 weeks.  Daisy Aaron (Room 2) in action.

Big highlights for Week 8 will be:-
  • The U19 World Cricket Cup coming to school at 1.30pm on Tuesday
  • The Year 6 Leavers Dinner at 6pm at the Lone Star on Wednesday
  • The Leadership and Excellence Assembly at 1.35pm on Thursday.
In the classroom we will be completing our Journals, Theme Park maths and Passports.  Our last trip to the Wharanui pool is on Monday.  The School pool is open so children are requested to continue to bring their togs to school.

Please make sure your child comes to school with a drink bottle.

2.  Mathletics certificate
3.  Journal

Once those tasks are completed then students may return to their Theme Park maths and also their Kiwi passport activities.  The Lil Pig will join our worm farms on Tuesday and we will continue with our unit on Puberty.

Duality maps- We are creating duality maps so we can learn about our culture backgrounds. We have to compare the same topics like clothes, food, weather etc.
