Kia ora Whanau
Thank you very much for getting behind the Run-a-km-for-kids event. It was a huge success not only financially but also through developing the importance of 'giving back' within our tamariki.
Our next major focus is Matariki. Once we have completed our persuasive texts we will be doing some reading around Matariki. We are also making Matariki kites. There is a Matariki Community night at school on Wednesday 28 June, where our kites will be on display. The classroom will be open for 30 minutes prior to the Community evening. Please feel free to pop in and come and have a look at your childs learning. I will be in the class if you have any questions. The 'formal' parent/teacher interviews will take place in week 3 of term 3.
We are looking forward to a chat by a parent, who is a geologist and has been working in Kaikoura. He will present to us on Friday. Passion time resumes again on Thursday. Our fish should hatch from their eggs this week. Watch this space...!
Please could you check that your child has a ruler!
Have a great week
Nga mihi nui
Nigel
