Class update
Maths - we have been focussing on statistics. After looking at world stats we have turned our attention to learning about mean, median and mode. We will use the Census to further develop our understanding of the mean, median and mode.
Literacy - we learn't about hooking the reader in by writing newspaper headlines. We also developed our attention to detail by writing a descriptive paragraph about a 'Man in a Tent on a Mountain'. Over the next couple of weeks we are going to write limericks as we build towards St Patricks day.
PE - swimming finishes on Monday but we still have a couple more weeks of PE with the CBHS boys.
Art - We begin our large waka mural on Monday with Ms Knowles.
STEM - (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) - we learn't how best to defy gravity by dropping eggs off the balcony! Next week we will be learning about velocity through the development of a marble run.
Assessment - Other than the standard basic facts test on Friday there will also be an e-asttle Writing assessment as well as a PAT reading assessment this week.
